Description
Earth has been besieged for months, but humanity has been able to get off the planet in heavily-armored, behemoth refugee ships (decommissioned, outmoded battlecruisers) defended by Phoenix-class fighters. The only means of escape is to run for the Lagrange points between Earth and the Moon and jump to nearby star systems. Unfortunately, the refugee ships are over a hundred years old, and it takes a VERY long time for their jump drives to charge, so they have to move very slowly toward the end of their runs in order jump at the very moment their jump drives finish charging. Several ships and thousands of lives were lost because of this, but thanks to the great skills of the Phoenix pilots, a great majority of humanity escaped.
Ships designed in Wings3D, textured and rendered in Bryce 5.5, rendered objects put together and postwork design (engine glows, computer/holographic panels, radar, targeting reticle, Moon, and stars) done with Photoshop CS. Fighter schematics generated in UVMapper and then edited with PSCS. Feel free to give any comments. Enjoy!

This feels like a screenshot for a game- like you're in the pilot's seat, and it looks believeable. Excellent work. Though maybe a few reflections on-screen would enhance the "cockpit" feel.
